I've seen the abbreviation "GG" used here frequently pertaining to a boolit, but I can't figure it out and it's not listed here:

Don't know about "GG" but "GC" means gas check, referring to a boolit using a gas check.

My guess is that it is a typo. That occurs quite often on this and other forums. It even happens to those experts of expression, the media, more often than you might think.

Not bullet related, just a little used fact: When I was in the military, we would say "GG"...which meant "Good to Go".

+1, the Grease Groove (as opposed to crimp groove) of a bullet. Well, most of the time anyway.

GG, Grease Groove, refers to cast bullets for black powder cartridge rifles using bullet lube as opposed to those using paper patches. I was somewhat surprised at the question since the great majority of shooters shoot black powder and the rifles made to be used with it, compared to the paltry handful of those shooting white powder.
Another vote for grease groove or Marlin Guide Gun. Actually, here we use lube groove
much more than grease groove, mostly because we spend a great deal of time selecting,
inventing, adjusting, fixing, modifying and discussing lubricants - and grease is too simplistic
a term.

Re: Gamma Globulin. In 'Nam, after a round of amoebic dynsentary due to a water filtration failure, the entire 11th Avn Gp received GG shots...next day, after morning formation, our company was marched past the flight surgeon's infirmary and anyone who wasn't limping was required to show his immunization record (we all remember those) to prove he'd received his shot.
