Has anyone used this for the m1 carbine? Their website shows some data but not for cast of course. How much do you think I could reduce it by?

I'd go with their minimum jacketed load as listed, and work up from there with your cast bullets.

I have tried LiL Gun in the carbine with good results. I used 12 & 12.5 grains with a 115 GC cast bullet.

What kind of velocities were you getting and did it reliably function? I am starting to experiment with my Carbine and am curious as well.
Both loads functioned fine in my carbines. I was also using CCI 450 primers which is what I have the most of, I tried CCI 41 primers but my carbines wouldn't knock them off reliable. I figured it was because of the thicker cup on the 41's Velecity was 1790 fps @ about 4' from the muzzle. I read where Lil Gun gives higher velocities with less pressure in the 454 Casull over Win 296 and that is why I tried it in the carbine. I had also read that Winchester developed 296 just for the carbine so I thought Lil Gun might work well in it.

I use 15G of H1680 behind a 121G Lyman cast boolit.
