How well would PC work for the traditionally outside lubed, heeled bullets such as for .38 or .41 Long Colt? Would the softer lead withstand the PC tumble process?

Interesting question. I have PC'd fairly soft bullets (around BHN 8 or 9) and they seem to get through the tumble process fine. I have not worked with a heeled bullet (although I have one revolver where I heel the bullets after the fact by running the loaded cartridges back into a sizing die).
Hick: Iron sights!
This guy seems to have success with it.
