    .28 cal Colt 1855

    Hi guys,

i am about to acquire a nickle plated Colt 1855 .28 cal revolver (Root) in almost mint fully working condition with no apparent play or wear, an original not an Italian knock off. But while I know it is .28 cal what I don't know is what diameter ball I should use .31 moulds are available but may be too big for the rammer to cope with does anyone know whether they will work OK, or should I try to find a .30 or smaller mould?

    Thanks in advance,

    Brian T

Start at the bottom. Slug the cylinder and slug the barrel. If you need a smaller mold, they are available or one of the sponsors on this forum can cut you one. Shouldn't be a problem at all.
