Hi,
i am blowing out 30-30 brass to 38-55 or 375 Win cases. Yes, they are a little short. I am shortening them even more. Michigan requires a case length max of 1.80" in a straight wall case for deer hunting in Southern Mi so I am trimming them to 1.795.
i would like to get someone with Quickload to run a check to see what the expected pressure and velocity is for a couple powders. I am thinking 2400 and IMR-4227. Both ar listed for the .375 Win and 38-55. Without the Quickload data, I will start several grains below min and work up. I am using the Lyman 375449 boolit, seated to the crimp groove.
i have a Stevens 30-30 bolt action with a bulged barrel at JES reboring. He is going to chamber it for the shorter case.
Thank you!
