That being said, I will recommend using (per Expansion Industries own words) the load data for Titegroup you will find in any of the many books. Lyman CB Handbook #4 is the best for what we do. I have verified that data it is pretty darned close for ETR7. They also have a load data chart on their website for common calibers. At least that should give you a starting place for 9mm load development.

7 is an excellent fast, clean-burning powder. I use it in everything today except mag loads and hot rifle loads.

Thanks, That is all the info I need. I just bought a Lyman CB Handbook #4.

I've used BE and Red Dot in 9mm, it goes bang, I didn't get great results. I like WST, WSF, PP, AA5 and HS-6.

In my 9mm's I found that slightly slower powders than red dot or bullseye seemed better. I like HP-38, green dot, and blue dot. I have tried quite number of powders and like those the best.

So, just for fun, I listed the powders and there are 22 regularly used. The leaders are

    Unique 7
    Red Dot 9
    231 10
    WSF 6
    Bullseye 11

I have been using Unique and it runs my 9s and my AR with 16" barrel. The Lee 120 TC feeds better than the other boolits I have used. Thanks for playing guys.

My guns seem to like b.e and wsf. I used w231 but haven't found any locally. Wsf, has a softer recoil impuls to me also. My daughter really likes it.

A lot of different powders work well, but I finally settled on 4756 as it fills pretty much all of the case (4,8 grains) which discourages bullet setback, gives relatively lower pressure and shoots decent groups. Recoil is mild, no leading or unburned powder. LLS

BR 5 works great for me. Haven't been able to get Alliant powders local for awhile.

Bullseye. Works great in 9mm,38, and 45. I switched from titegroup after reading a few things that said titegroup and lead dont mix well. After gaining some more experience I wouldn't hesitate to grab a pound of titegroup for lead either. Thats all I shot before making the switch to cast.

For 115 - 125 gr cast, Bullseye, HP-38, Titegroup all work fine for me. Any fast burning powder would be fine.

I see a lot of folks are suggesting Red Dot, I plan to start reloading 9s soon and will be using the Lee TL356-124-tc as my mold. I was wondering what amount of powder those of you using red dot are using. I was unable to find any data on Alliants webpage for 9mm. I'm mainly looking to reload lite loads to get as many bangs out of a pound as possible.

Here is a link to older manuals from Alliant that will give you the info you want. The 2001 manual in particular, will give load data for 9mm and the bullets you intend to use.
