    Shoot them, or pull them?

I found some old cast boolits loaded for my 8x56 M95. Fifty rounds, with Lee C329's, sized .329. I now have Lee C338's cast, and dies to make them .334. What would you guys do? Go ahead and shoot them? Or pull them, and put the .334's in.

every time i've pulled a gas-checked bullet, the check remains in the case...shoot 'em up!

Unless they are terribly inaccurate, I would shoot them also. Even just for 25 or 50 yard offhand practice.

Ditto. and they are Hades to get out, fishing for them, the *+^%#@ frustration level quickly went to Devcon 1.

I found the best way, just open up the necks to a caliber or two larger so GC's would fall out, then resize the necks back as was.

Silly question, if they won't lead the bore. You don't have time to pull them, but you do have time to shoot them!!

There, I made the question more gooder for to know what to do.

OK. I'm gonna shoot em. I just needed you guys to validate my decision to be lazy. I have experience with the checks coming off. Not fun. You have to squash the case mouths into an oval to get them out.

I've pulled lots of boolits and had the GCs come off in the case mouth. I poke one side of the GC which makes it turn sideways. I reach in with a pair of hemastats, grab it and pull it right out. No bending the case mouth.

I popped them off today at fifty yards. I was pleasantly surprised. All rounds fell in a six inch shoot-n-see patch (mostly). Best of all, no leading. These were a bit harder than the old loads I tried at .329, and a bit faster. No chrono, but a known higher charge weight.

Shooting them off is more fun than pulling them and recasting the lead.
