I shoot an accurate bullet at about 1800fps. The bullet weighs about 160
grains. I use ball C2 @ 30 grains.
aybe I should use a disclaimer, but that liad gives me 2moa at 50 yds. I like it.

Does Lyman's 380681 carry enough lube in a 38/55 black powder load?
Rodfac is right about outpost's load recommends, I use 3.8gr of HP38 , size the 3118 to .314 for use in my 1931 Colt OP. It also wears the Pachymire grip adaptor?, spacer?, thingy.
I use the Skeeter load @ 13gr. of 2400 in the .38 case. Out of a 6" model 28 I get substantially more fps according to my chrono.
k frames are tougher and easier to tune. and d frame colts cause me to have a goofy smile on my face when shooting. Learning how to stretch a hand can remedy a lot of colt timing problems.
many years ago I replaced a 7.5" barrel on an Uberti made Cimarron Custer, or 7th cav., or something like that. When I say "I replaced" I mean I sent the shooter to 'Bozeman Arms' Tom Sargis, along...

I've heard that sq1, I have a pretty good supply of beeswax, need to order some lanolin and castor oil and see if I can figure out my formula from 15 or so years ago. Changing the lube and using...

Had not thought of that. My smokeless load is 1.5"@ 50yds with a .452 bullet and I read Uberti
barrels run tight, that's as good as I CAN see. My ability to slug barrels pretty much sucks too. My...
bullseye works for both, titegroup, aa #2, hp 38. Personally I like titegroupfor the type of loads you mentioned.

I'm not being clear, my bp bullet is the 454190, soft alloy. have tried .450, .452,and .454 sizing with almost the same results. Ditto p0wders, 777, bp, and pyrodex, not much difference in...

uberti '73 win using 454190. different powder amounts changing the amount of compression, all bullets go straight, no key holes, but accuracy sucks with bp, 777, pyrodex with almost exact results,...

my 32win. spec. would like to be included.

I replaced a drum on a 35 year old cva mountain rifle. The nbeat the drum.ew drum revolves about 1/4 turn beyond where the nipple is optimum for the hammer.
So how do I resolve this problem?

BTW, I saw 45/90 buying pyrojunk at the local walmart.

Thank God no one has ever died in a bp accident he says rolling his eyes. That's a good natured joke fnf.

I have a cva mountain rifle that says it is .58 caliber. The barrel is about 1" across the flats and as I remember the twist was slower than 1:48 for sure since I bought it as a round ball shooter. ...

I'm with idahoron, been using pyrodex since74,75? and it worked a lot better than the Holy black batman, less fouling and corrosion. When the holy black wowsers start waxing poetic I just roll my...

Thanks gang, what velocity can I expect. I'm going to try ffg triple 7 and pyrojunk in my rifle because I don't have any stumps. Thanks again.

I'm thinking 358429. Does anyone use those two powders in their .357 rifle. I'd love to know what kind of velocity I can expect. I will be filling the cases to slightly higher than the bullet...
