311041 has been very accurate for me in 30-06.

Often the culprit is a well-meaning person who had the audacity to put something away!
I duplicated the velocity of 45 Auto Speer Gold Dot Short Barrel with 5.3 gr W231 and 5.8 gr Unique under 452374 bullet.
I have had repeated success with 5.0 grains Red Dot in .357 with 158 grain bullets.
I'm 53, and hadn't thought about this until recently. I am thankful to God that I have four grown sons, and four old out-of-production S&W revolvers that they grew up shooting. I know the sons and...
I'd try 5.0 grains HP38 / W231, then use a little more if that is not satisfactory. BUT, that is only with large primers. HP38/W231 does not like small pistol primers, even if you increase the...
I've done some 38 Special and 357 Magnum load comparisons with Unique and BE-86. Using about .3 to .5 grain more BE-86 yields similar velocity.
Based on lots of good advice from this forum, the kids and I have had lots of fun shooting reduced loads in our bolt-action 30-06 rifles using 2400 and Unique. Well, I'm down to 8 oz of 2400, but I...
My family has been enjoying a Rem 700 for the past several years. Most of my kids have learned to shoot rifle with that---lots of grins and giggles. Now my youngest son loads 31141 over 20 grains...
I have been having success in mid-level 357 Magnum with a 158 gr bullet over 7.0 grains BE-86.
From 6" barrel Model 19-3
case: misc 38 Special
bullet: 358311 165 grains
charge: 3.5 grains Bullseye
primer: Federal

The 358311 has proven itself to me on several occasions, one in particular. One day I was shooting 358311s cast from an old 2-cavity mold, over 4.5 grains Red Dot, in 357 Magnum brass, out of my...
In my experiments, it seemed to me that solid wadcutters loaded to the crimp groove do not require wadcutter brass for best accuracy, but hollow-base wadcutters need wadcutter brass for best accuracy.
3.6 grains Red Dot with 150-ish grain bullet has been excellent for me.
Dear 1911 Lovers,
I'm about to load some 200 gr XTPs using Power Pistol. I'd like to do a max load without going +P. What charge do you use, and what COL?
Thanks,
LBS
I bought a used 3" barrel concealed hammer K6S a while back, before price craziness hit. I liked it very well, but it was just a bit too small for my big hands, which love K and L frame guns. I...
I have ended up using snubs in .357 rather than .38 because I can load light .357 loads to make essentially 38 Special +P+
After experimenting with a number of 9mm boolits, I now use this one exclusively. I highly recommend it for accuracy.
COWW for bulk ammo for the kids to shoot.
1:1 SOWW:COWW for self-defense ammo. Expansion between 1000-1100 fps is great, and bullet doesn't come apart.
That particular MP mold design is fantastic....
5.0 grains Red Dot in 357 Magnum brass under boolits of 140-160 grains has worked great for me, after reading it in a Skelton article, if I recall correctly.
For years I lubesized my wadcutters .358, which worked very well. On Ed's advice, I now just tumble lube, load in unsized cases, and use the Lee FCD as the final step. That system is much easier...
