Eons ago, Smith & Wesson used zinc in their 'SIGMA' series of pistols. Did not gain a following due to durability, IIRC. Could this stuff be the same? Stuff is not known for strength.

I don't think the ultrasonic action would hurt it. but I would be wary of any chemicals. Start with water, MMO or mabe wd40 or straight kerosene?

Lyman did make the 457122 as a solid because I have one. It is a pretty standard one cavity with a flat point. It must be fairly rare cuz when you google it all you get is page after page of hollow...
