It had .429" throats over a .430 groove and slight roughness in the bore that was soldered on lead, still a couple specks left. Last week I lapped the throats to just over .431" and this is the second time to the range.
Yesterday I shot 126 rounds, 20g of 2400 under a 256g #503 for about 1350 fps and it was nice. My old 6" was a half lug 629 and the extra weight of the full lug Anaconda eliminates most of the muzzle flip, like switching from a pickup to a cadillac. For me now it's a matter of building my muscle tone back so I can hold the gun steady. Going to try to get some 1.5 inch groups again before OMS set in.
Cost of 126 44 Mag rounds $18.90 with pre jovid components.
