I use it for 444 Marlin and 45-70 as well as many bottle neck rifles for cast bullet loads

Just got a couple pounds for the 45-70. Worked nicely.
It works quite well for my purposes. 18.5 grains and 311291
I wanted a plinking CB load that fed (hence the round nose) and a powder that filled the case as much as possible while cycling the action with the OEM gas block. cases are only being tossed a couple feet. Accuracy is mini-30 acceptable.
I'm too cheap to buy the custom gas block or the smaller diameter gas bushings.
I would be interested in seeing pictures of these wooden powder casks as well. What a cool find!
